Our Story
Tom and Rebecca's Story
In 1988, Tom Yeaman and James Wilcoxon founded Classic Marcite. When the company opened its doors in Orlando 30 years ago, Classic Marcite was primarily a swimming pool surfacing company. As their customers grew, so did Classic Marcite. Over the years, Classic Marcite grew into a business that resurfaces 1,000 to 3,000 pools per year. In 2010, as the company expanded, Classic Marcite added another location in Jacksonville, Florida. Today, Tom is the sole owner of Classic Marcite after James' departure in 2004.

What is Marcite?
We get this question a lot! Marcite is a more traditional pool plaster that is composed primarily of white Portland cement, marble dust, and additives that boost its water resistance and strength. When mixed with water, marcite forms a smooth material that is used to coat the inside of a pool. What does Marcite mean to us? As pool renovators, we chose a dependable material for our name because, like marcite, we are reliable and dependable. With 3 decades of experience and service to prove that.
